CALL FOR GEORGIA OUTDOORS INSPIRED ART

The Sugar Hill Arts Commission is looking for original artwork inspired by the great Georgia outdoors to be displayed from August 8, 2026 to September 6, 2026. Let the great outdoors capture your heart and convey it through art!

Although prizes will be awarded, entry this year is complimentary. We do encourage you to bring a donation for the North Gwinnett Co-op (A box will be ready for you when you drop off your art).

• SUBMISSION DEADLINE: 7/15
• ACCEPTANCE NOTIFICATION: 7/20
• DROP-OFF: 8/5-8/6, 10AM-5:30PM
• ON DISPLAY: 8/8-9/6
• RECEPTION: 8/14, 6-8PM
• PICK-UP: 9/10-9/11, 10AM-5:30PM

CASH PRIZES

• BEST OF SUGAR HILL: $200 and Sugar Hill SWAG
  Awarded by a City of Sugar Hill Sponsor. This piece will be judged on the quality of the art and will entice visitors to explore the city of Sugar Hill. Artists are encouraged to incorporate the scenery of Downtown and/or nearby locations within the City Limits of Sugar Hill.

• SECOND PLACE: $75

JUROR: AMANDA LOVETT

After a successful career as a Creative Director, Amanda committed to full-time oil painting in 2004. She has trained with top professionals and now teaches workshops across the Southeast. Recognized by Plein Air Magazine as an emerging artist to collect, Amanda holds Signature Status with both Oil Painters of America and American Women Artists. Her work is featured in galleries nationwide.

INTERESTED IN SHOWCASING? HERE ARE THE GUIDELINES:

• FREE art submission with a donation to the North Gwinnett Co-op
• Photography is not accepted
• Up to 3 artwork submissions per person
• Permitted work includes:
  • oil painting
  • acrylic
  • watercolor
  • drawing
  • mixed media
  • collage
  • relief sculptures with raised surfaces less than 6″ on a sturdy substrate
• Artwork is limited to no larger than 30″ x 40″
• Art must be framed or reside on 1 1/2″ or 2″ gallery wrap canvas or wood cradle.
• All artworks must hang via wire secured to the back, no sawtooth brackets
